Clara Ole Treats Members to Another Kitchen Cookfest Adventure

The Battle between East and West continues at the GE Monogram Experience Center

East vs. West, Clara Ole Kitchen Adventure Cook-OffClara Ole’s annual Kitchen Adventure Circle (KAC) gathering recently took place at the GE Monogram Experience Center in Serendra, Fort Bonifacio. Around 51 KAC members trooped to the Center to witness the battle between cooks of eastern cuisine and western fare.

The GE Monogram showroom in Serendra was the perfect setting for the annual engagement, which saw Chef Bruce Lim and Chef Eugene Raymundo star in the East vs. West cook-off, followed by a cooking competition of the 8 select KAC members. Chef Bruce, who represented the Asian cuisine, manages and cooks for Chef’s Table, one of the few by-reservation-only restaurants in Manila. He is also the co-host of Tablescapes: Life on a Plate with Angel Aquino. In the other corner representing Western gastronomy was Chef Eugene, Senior Chef Consultant of Limone Culinary Concepts and the managing partner and executive chef for Five Cows Restaurant and the Ice Cream Bar in Trinoma Mall.

CYA Industries/Fabriano S.p.A., exclusive distributor of a collection of high-quality kitchen equipment, provided the chefs with a free-standing cooker from Indesit co., the biggest Italian kitchenware manufacturer that provides cooking enthusiasts with top-of-the-line quality. The cooker was the perfect accessory for the cook-offs due to its heavy-duty capabilities. With four electric plates, the chefs were assured that the fire and heat would remain constant regardless of any wind or air disturbance. The electric hobs contained the fast-heat function, allowing the free-standing cooker to accommodate the speed and efficiency of the chefs. A large oven capacity of 58 liters, and a built-in oven light, facilitated the cook-offs. The easy clean hob made the transition from the chefs’ cooking demonstration to the KAC members’ cook-off competition so much easier.

“We look forward to our annual gathering,” says Nancy Hernandez, Brand Manager for Clara Olé. “We were very happy that CYA Industries/Fabriano S.p.A. readily extended the use of the showroom and their equipment.” The GE Monogram Experience Center is a fully functional showroom with built-in cooking facilities. It is the choice venue for many cooking demonstrations and shows.

“We were happy to facilitate the KAC gathering,” states Norman Reynoso, Indesit and Bialetti’s Marketing Services and Institutional Sales Manager. “The GE Monogram Experience Center was specifically designed to accommodate chefs and their needs, and the showroom’s architectural design make for a comfortable and visually exciting get-together.”
